(H2TxAFST) 2026 Yuan Ye Philippine Delegation Learning Mission on Urban Governance, Sustainable Cities, and Livable Futures

Cities stand at the forefront of today's most urgent governance challenges. Climate change, rapid urbanization, demographic shifts, infrastructure demands, and widening inequality require governments to rethink how cities are designed, governed, and sustained. Taiwan has emerged as one of Asia's leading examples of sustainable urban transformation. Kaohsiung City, once known primarily as a heavy industrial port, has successfully reinvented itself into a globally recognized model of green urban governance, intelligent transportation, participatory planning, waterfront revitalization, and people-centered public spaces. Through executive briefings, institutional visits, policy dialogues, community immersions, and participation in the 2026 Yuan Ye Awards , delegates will gain firsthand exposure to internationally recognized practices that can inspire innovative solutions for Philippine cities and communities. Beyond professional learning, the delegation advances the vision of Bayanihan–Taiwanihan Symbiotic Collaboration —strengthening long-term partnerships between Philippine and Taiwanese institutions through mutual learning, innovation, and sustainable development. This registration form is exclusive to the Home 2 Taiwan Volunteers and Association of Filipino Scholar in Taiwan. It is recommended that participants come from any of the following. Students with a background in governance (government or academe) Urban Development Field Tourism Field Business and Administration Field Political Science Fine Arts and Design Academics & Researchers Or with interest thereof.
