On August 8, the University of Asia and the Pacific thru Dr. Noemi Torre, Dean of the College of Engineering, hosted a discussion and campus tour for students and professors from University of the Philippines, Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU), and Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU).
The group delved into the UA&P’s University Social Responsibility (USR) initiatives which showcased the learnings they earned in their training in the Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) and their commitment in its principles. This collaborative activity of these esteemed universities here in the Philippines and in Taiwan aimed to foster strategic partnerships and empower future leaders to build more sustainable, responsible, and environmentally-driven tomorrow.
The discussion was followed by a campus tour led by UA&P student-leaders. The delegates noted the efficient space-utilization of the small area the school is in - being able to house several facilities in harmony with public spaces for students. The delegates also commended the LCD screens all over the campus displaying economic indicators and latest news as a good way to stimulate the minds of future leaders. At the end of the tour, the group was greeted by the incoming university president, Atty. John Philip R. Yeung, who warmly welcomed the delegation to UA&P.
