Event Payment Terms & Conditions
These terms govern payments you make to register for events run by Bayanihan Lab Network, Inc.

The short version
- Prices may be shown in US Dollars (USD) as a reference or in Philippine Pesos (₱) — either way, you are always charged in Philippine Pesos (₱). A processing fee of up to 5% may also apply and is always shown before you pay.
- Your slot is confirmed only once payment is received. Online invoices expire after 24 hours.
- Refunds are not automatic — each request is reviewed by BLN on a case-by-case basis and, if approved, returned through your original payment method.
- We collect only what we need to register you, and we handle ID documents with care under the Data Privacy Act.

1. Who we are & what these terms cover
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are between you (“you” or the “Attendee”) and Bayanihan Lab Network, Inc. (“BLN,” “we,” or “us”), a stock social enterprise registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Philippines (Company Registration No. 2025040198291-44), with principal office at 3107 Vita Tower 3, Avida Towers Vita, Bagong Pag-asa, Barangay Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City, Second District, National Capital Region (NCR), 1105 and Taxpayer Identification Number 010-923-307-000.
These Terms apply when you register and pay for an event organized by BLN, whether you pay online or through an offline channel. They do not cover donations, membership dues, or any other payment, which are governed separately where applicable.
2. Your agreement to these terms
Before you pay, you will be asked to confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. You make that confirmation at the review step of each registration, and you cannot complete payment without it. By ticking that box and proceeding, you accept these Terms for that registration.
3. Registration & confirmation of your slot
Submitting the registration form does not by itself secure a slot. For paid events, your registration is held as pending until payment is received, and only then is it confirmed. For free (₱0) events, your registration is confirmed immediately.
When you pay online, we generate a payment invoice that expires 24 hours after it is issued. If it expires before you pay, your held slot is released and you will need to register again. Slots are also subject to event capacity and registration deadlines, both checked at the moment payment is confirmed; a pending registration does not guarantee a slot if capacity is reached or the deadline passes first.
Once confirmed, you can download a registration confirmation document carrying a QR code. That document is your proof of payment and admission; we verify it against our live records at check-in, so please bring it with you.
4. Fees, currency & processing fee
The price for each event is shown either in Philippine Pesos (₱) or, for select events, in US Dollars (USD) as a reference figure — this is indicated on the event’s registration page. Regardless of the currency shown, the amount you are charged is always in Philippine Pesos (₱). For events priced in USD, we convert the reference amount to PHP using a conversion rate that BLN sets for that event; this is not a live market rate, and the resulting peso amount is what you actually pay, shown again before you confirm payment. If your card or bank account is not denominated in PHP, your bank or payment provider may apply its own additional currency conversion and charges, which are outside our control.
Depending on the event, a processing fee of up to 5% may be added to cover payment-handling costs. When this fee applies, it is displayed at checkout and included in the total before you confirm payment. The amount shown at checkout is the amount you pay.
5. Taxes & receipts
BLN is Non-VAT registered, so our event fees are not subject to Value-Added Tax.
After you pay online, our payment processor sends an automated payment confirmation by email. That email confirms your payment but is not a BIR-registered official receipt. If you need a BIR-registered receipt for your own records, request one from us using the contact details below and we will issue it.
6. How you can pay
Online. Card and e-wallet payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider, Xendit. Your payment is handled on Xendit’s systems under their terms; BLN does not collect or store your full card details.
Offline (by arrangement). For some events you may pay by bank transfer or in cash:
- Bank transfer — UnionBank of the Philippines, Account Name: Bayanihan Lab Network, Inc., Account No. 1017-7001-1178, SWIFT UBPHPHMM.
- Cash — at our partner office (807 Kaohsiung City, Sanmin District, Anji Village, Minzu 1st Rd, 80號2樓), by appointment only.
For offline payments, your slot is confirmed once we have received and verified your payment.
7. Refunds
Refunds are not guaranteed simply by requesting one. Each request is reviewed and examined by BLN on its own merits, taking into account the circumstances, the reason for the request, and how close it is to the event date, before we decide whether to approve it. We will let you know the outcome of your request.
Where a refund is approved, it is returned to the same method you paid with — we cannot send a refund to a different card, account, or person:
- Online payments are refunded through Xendit on their standard timelines. E-wallet refunds (e.g. GCash, Maya) usually arrive within about one business day; card refunds typically take about 1–3 business days to process and can take up to 7–14 days to appear, depending on your issuing bank.
- Offline payments (bank transfer or cash) are refunded by bank transfer to an account you nominate, net of any bank or remittance charges, normally within 15 business days of approval.
Instead of a refund, you may ask to transfer your slot to another person or to a future BLN event, where the event allows it.
8. Changes, cancellation & events beyond our control
We may need to make changes to an event — for example, the venue, schedule, format, or speakers. Minor changes of this kind do not entitle you to a refund, and we will tell you about significant changes as early as we can.
If BLN cancels an event outright, you may choose a transfer to another BLN event or a refund of the fees you paid.
We are not responsible for failing to hold an event, or for changes or delays, caused by events outside our reasonable control — including typhoons and other severe weather, public-health measures, travel or border restrictions, government action, power or communications failures, or similar. We are also not responsible for your own costs of attending, such as travel, visa, or accommodation expenses. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any event is limited to the fees you actually paid for it.
9. Chargebacks & disputes
If something goes wrong with a payment, please contact us first so we can put it right — this is almost always faster than a formal dispute. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or e-wallet without contacting us first can delay any resolution.
We reserve the right to decline admission, or to recover reasonable costs, where a chargeback is filed in bad faith — for example, a dispute raised for an event you in fact attended.
10. Your information & privacy
To register you, we collect details such as your name, contact information, and, for some events, identity documents (for example, a copy of your passport for entry or visa purposes). We use this information only to process your registration, run the event, and meet our legal obligations.
Any documents you upload are kept in private storage with restricted access. We process your information under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), and we delete identity documents within about 60 days after the event unless we are required to keep them longer. 11. Governing law & language
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Where we provide a Traditional Chinese (繁體中文) version of these Terms, it is offered as a courtesy translation; if there is any difference in meaning, the English version applies.
